“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand,
strawberries in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming….. WOO HOO…. What a RIDE!”

Larry Desmedt known as Indian Larry passed away on August 30, 2004
Larry died doing what he loved most, performing his most famous stunt, standing on the seat of the moving motorcycle for cheering fans when the bike started to wobble, and he lost control.
He was the working man's hero. His bikes weren't flashy. He wasn't building the $75,000 bike like a lot of people were. He was building a bike that the average guy could afford
He was having the time of his life," He was just beginning to get the notoriety he deserved, It might not have been a huge run, only a couple of years, but he probably had more fun in those two years than most people have in a lifetime."
I had the
opportunity to meet Larry last year in Florida at the Biketoberfest, he was such
a normal down to earth guy that just loved what he was doing, he was sitting
with Billy Lane of Choppers Inc. the two of them seemed to be having a blast!
I'm sure that Larrys passing is having a big impact on Billy.
In Larry's own words to Joann Bortles, of Crazy Horse Painting in North
Carolina, he explained one of his many philosophies. To seize the moment, and to
have no fear, he said are of utmost importance.
"Never take a moment for granted no matter how bad it feels," Larry said. "Life
is so precious and it goes by so fast."
Larry lived his life the way he wanted to, no apologizes, he was his own man, a lone wolf...
and thats why people loved him.
Larry, you will be missed.... but never forgotten

Yes, that is Larry!
"Lone Wolf"
