Seeing Blackthorn live is not something you can describe, you just have to go and experience it for yourself!

The band is electrifying, I have seen them when the crowd was huge, several hundred people, and I've seen them when there were only 40 or 50 people. And their performance doesn't change. They seem to have endless energy!

The way they interact with each other and with the audience is great, they make you feel as if you have known them all your life. They hang out with the audience when they are not performing and always try to play every request. There are a few songs that are staples for Blackthorn, you should be hearing them in the background of this page. Some take audience participation, like "Alice" (which by the way... was NOT played at the Bensalem concert! )depending on the venue the words to that song change! Celtic Symphony is another, you can see that one in the video link above. But I have to say that my favorite is "When New York Was Irish" it takes me back to visiting family in NYC when I was younger.

Going to a Blackthorn performance is like going to a family reunion!
